JA BizTown is an indoor center that contains a mini city with up to 23 public and private businesses. Before visiting JA BizTown, students complete a pre-visit curriculum program where they learn basic economic principles such as how to manage their personal bank account.
Can adults go to JA BizTown?
Volunteer Recruitment: JA BizTown requires a minimum of 22 adult volunteers to successfully run the Village on student visit days. Your school is responsible for securing a minimum of 1 adult volunteer for each business your school will be operating. A maximum of 28 parent volunteers is permitted.

When was JA BizTown made?
By 2000, Junior Achievement was implementing JA Finance Park, an experiential program that lets middle school students make adult financial decisions in life-like simulations. This was soon followed by the launch of JA BizTown, designed for elementary school-aged students to run a simulated town for a day.
How old do you have to be to go to BizTown?

JA Finance Park is Junior Achievement’s capstone curriculum for personal financial planning and career exploration. Students select their career and define their future lifestyle and financial goals. The advanced simulation allows students to see the long-term impact of their education, savings, and credit decisions.

There are T-shirts for $10.00, sling backpacks for $5.00, and pencils for 50¢. Can I buy lunch, snacks, or drinks at JA BizTown? You must bring a brown-bag lunch to JA BizTown. You may buy snacks (popcorn and freshly baked cookies) and soft drinks with JA BizTown cash.

The Donald O. Schnuck JA BizTown is a mini-city in which kids discover how the “real world” works. Each day, about 100 fourth – sixth graders become JA BizTown “citizens” where they work in one of 17 businesses, make financial decisions, pay taxes, and donate to charity.
