Why was Byron exiled?
The facts of Byron’s exile have been glossed over by most of his biographers. Proliferating accusations of cruelty, adultery and Byron’s incest with his half-sister Augusta have been taken as explanation enough – although incest was punishable by the ecclesiastical courts but not a criminal offence.
What happened to Lord Byron?
In July 1823, Byron left Italy to join the Greek insurgents who were fighting a war of independence against the Ottoman Empire. On 19 April 1824 he died from fever at Missolonghi, in modern day Greece. His death was mourned throughout Britain.

Seeking to escape his love affairs in marriage, Byron proposed in September 1814 to Anne Isabella (Annabella) Milbanke. The marriage took place in January 1815, and Lady Byron gave birth to a daughter, Augusta Ada, in December 1815.

Even though she wrote about a computer, the Analytical Engine, that was never built, she realized that the computer could follow a series of simple instructions, a program, to perform a complex calculation. She has been called the first computer programmer.
