Who captured Persephone?
Hades
Hades suddenly appeared, thundering across the plain in his four-horse chariot. The god swooped down upon Persephone, scooped her up with one arm, and literally and figuratively deflowered her? leaving the plain scattered with blossoms of every color.

Hades grudgingly agreed, but before he set her free, he tricked her into eating a poisoned pomegranate. She ate seven seeds, and in so doing she was bound to the underworld. Zeus was not happy Hades had tricked Persephone into eating the pomegranate.
