What is the difference between Echomap and Gpsmap?
Striker is entry level, echomap is mid-level and GPSMAP is top-level. One primary distinguishing characteristic separating the top-level from mid-level is the sharing options. Map, waypoint, sonar, Panoptix, no worry sharing is only available at the top-level.
Will my Garmin GPS work on a lake?
The short answer is “sort of, but not really.” A GPS unit will work anywhere that it can receive satellite transmissions, but an automotive unit will not be programmed with aquatic maps. They were designed to withstand the conditions inside a car, not on the lake.
