What part of the body receives information?
The central nervous system (CNS) is comprised of the brain and spinal cord. The CNS receives sensory information from the nervous system and controls the body’s responses.
Which sends information from other parts of the body all the way to the brain?
For example, sensory neurons send information from the eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin to the brain. Motor neurons carry messages away from the brain to the rest of the body.
What are two ways information is sent to control body conditions?
The conditions are controlled in two ways with chemical and nervous responses. Cells called receptors , which detect stimuli (changes in the environment).
What are the different parts of the human eye?
A human eye is roughly 2.3 cm in diameter and is almost a spherical ball filled with some fluid. It consists of the following parts: Sclera: It is the outer covering, a protective tough white layer called the sclera (white part of the eye). Cornea: The front transparent part of the sclera is called cornea. Light enters the eye through the cornea.
What are the different senses organs in human body?
Eyes also contain a special receptor known as photo-receptors (light receptors) Ears contain mechanoreceptors which are also a special receptor. All human senses organs consist of – eye, ears, nose, tongue, and skin. And they provide the sense of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch respectively.
How do our eyes work together?
This “working together” of the eyes actually happens in the brain. The brain receives two images (one for each eye), processes them together with the other information received and returns one image, resulting in what we “see”.
What is an example of a body part that can sense distance?
An example of this is the eye. Some people have problems with their eyes. The eyes are also used to judge distances. Animals that hunt usually have their eyes on the front of their head.
