Is Wii Balance Board region locked?
We do not recommend using Wii U accessories purchased overseas. Most standard Wii accessories (Wii Balance Board, Wii Remote, Wii Remote Plus, Sensor Bar, etc.) will work with a Wii U console from any region. However, any software that may accompany such accessories (like Wii Fit) will not be compatible.
What is the difference between Wii Fit Board and Wii Fit Plus board?
The game is an enhanced version of Wii Fit, with 15 new balance and aerobics games (referred to as “Training Plus”) and six new strength training and yoga activities. Wii Fit Plus is sold bundled with a Wii Balance Board, as well as separately for existing Wii Balance Board owners.
Does the Wii Fit board work with Wii Fit Plus?
With all but a few exceptions, which utilize variations on a standard Wii Remote configuration, all activities utilize the Wii Balance Board (not included, but available with the Wii Fit Plus Balance Board Bundle), either alone or configured with either a Wii Remote alone or the Wii Remote and nunchuck.
Can I use a Wii U without the gamepad?
Most games require the gamepad. You can technically browse the home menu without it, but you need the gamepad for the most part. I wouldn’t recommend getting a Wii U without the gamepad at all. Not only do many games require the gamepad, but so do some system menus (e.g. settings).
Can you sell a Wii U without the gamepad?
While you CAN sell your Wii U without the Gamepad, this would not be in the best interest for the buyer unless they already have a Gamepad lying around. As mentioned above, the second screen on the Gamepad is crucial when changing a lot of system settings, checking the activity log, and a few other functions.

I had a Wii Fit board when a while ago but this was broken over time and in the process of moving and so needed a replacement. The board is used with the Wii fit game which I find great especially when going outside to workout is daunting and gyms are pricey. Wasn’t sure this was going to be any good but I find it fun.
