Connor died at the age of 75 from the effects of cancer at his home in Harrow in Middlesex on 28 November 1993. His body was cremated at Breakspear Crematorium in Ruislip, Middlesex. He married Margaret Knox (“Miki”) during the war in 1942; his son, Jeremy, and three grandchildren, Thomas, Hayley and Rose, were all child actors.
