National Guard and Reserve Soldiers perform a minimum of one weekend drill per month, and two weeks per year of active duty.

The Brigade Combat Team (BCT) is the basic combined- arms building block of the Army. It is a permanent, stand-alone, self-sufficient, and standardized tactical force of about 4,000 soldiers. At present, the Army consists of 58 BCTs, with 31 BCTs in the Regular Army (RA) and 27 BCTs in the Army National Guard (ARNG).

It does not apply to the Army Reserve or the Active Army. Nothing in this regulation shall be construed to vary or modify standards, requirements, or benchmarks set forth by the Department of the Army pursuant to authority provided for in law that properly apply to Title 10 and Title 32 ARNG Personnel.
