- Step 1: Remove the old headlight assembly.
- Step 2: Disconnect the assembly.
- Turn the headlamp retainer ring counter-clockwise to remove it from the headlamp.
- Step 3: Disconnect electrical.
- Step 4: Remove old assembly.
- Step 5: Replace the assembly.
- Step 6: Connect the new assembly.
What is the headlight assembly?
The main part of the head light assembly is the headlight bulb. The headlight bulb is the source of light emitted from the unit. It produces light by passing electric current through a filament that glows due to electrical resistance.
How do you replace the headlight assembly on a Toyota Corolla?
Secure the headlamp by turning the retainer ring clockwise onto its socket. Reconnect the electrical connectors to the headlamp and parking light sockets. Position the assembly so that the bracket tabs are aligned with their slots and slide the headlamp inward to engage the tabs. Replace the two bolts at the top of the assembly.
