I have a 15 foot tinnie with a 40 and I can get to seaworld from Russell In 30 mins easy. Brisbane, if you mean going up the rive, pick your weather as it can blow up a bit around the mouth of the river, even the nor easters in summer chop it up prtty good and will stop you getting across.
