How can I change current year in Tally?

Moving data to new financial year To change the current period, Go to Gateway of Tally > click F2: Period and enter the dates. Doing this helps you: Continue to enter vouchers in the same company data. Ensure zero downtime, helping you start the new year on a hassle-free note.

  2. Carry forward all ledger balances without creating a new company.

What is financial year Tally?

In India, the financial year starts from 1st April of a year and ends on 31st March of next year. E.g. FY 2019-2020 refers to start date of 01.04. 2019 and end of 31.03. 2020. ​Hence, in Tally software, we need to change the financial year where the working has to take place.
