Can you jumpstart a Vespa with a car?

A car is able to be used to start a scooter if no battery pack can be found. Jumper cables can be used to connect the negative terminals first, followed by the positive terminals. The dead battery should first be connected to the cables. Doing so may cause damage to the scooter’s electrical system and battery.

How do you charge a dead Vespa battery?

First connect the black (negative) cable to the negative power terminal on your scooter battery. Then, connect the red (positive) cable to the positive power terminal on your scooter battery. Once these leads are secure you’ll be ready to connect your battery charger to the power outlet and the wait begins.
