Can I use English money in Jersey?
Our currency is sterling, but the island has its own money, the Jersey pound. You’ll usually be given Jersey money as change when you’re shopping, but English money can be freely used and all major debit and credit cards are accepted. There are ATM machines in St. Helier and across the island.
Is Jersey part of UK?
Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man are part of the British Isles. England, Scotland and Wales make up Great Britain, while the United Kingdom includes Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Jersey is a British Crown Dependency.

Jersey does not have a National Health Service and is not part of the UK NHS system. Health matters are overseen by the Department of Health and Community Services in the Government of Jersey.
Can you take alcohol to Jersey?
If you are 17 or older, you can import certain goods without paying duty or GST, as long as the goods aren’t for commercial purposes. If you bring in any alcohol or tobacco over your allowance, you must declare this. If you don’t, you’ll lose your duty free allowance and the alcohol and tobacco taken off you.
Can you smoke in Jersey airport?
In accordance with the smoking policy in all public buildings and workplaces, smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is not permitted anywhere inside the terminals and only in designated areas outside the buildings. There are no smoking facilities in the airside departure lounge.
