Piczo was a social networking and blogging website for teens. After the acquisition Piczo was led by Stardoll’s CEO Mattias Miksche and his Stardoll team. In September 2012, Piczo.com was acquired by Posh Media Group (PMGcom Publishing AB with CEO Christofer Båge). In November 2012, Piczo.com shut down.

Up until a few weeks ago, we would not be talking about Xanga at all. It was completely dead and buried, and needed a boatload of money just to survive. Well, it got its money, and has been re-branded as Xanga 2.0.

Is there still a myspace?
Myspace is still active as of today, but not anymore a go-to platform for social media users. It was once the king of social media networks especially from 2005 to 2008, where it serves over 100 million users on a monthly basis.
What was before Xanga?
Friendster was launched in 2002, and essentially took what Xanga was used for and made its mission much more clear and concise. Instead of being a blogging based site, it was meant for social networking. In 2004, MySpace took over the social networking game.
