Stone Harbor is an absolutely magical place. It is the southern half of what is known as Seven Mile Beach, a barrier island that also encompasses the town of Avalon to its north. The island is bordered on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the west by intercostal waterway known as the Bay.

Which is nicer Avalon or Stone Harbor?
Stone Harbor is for the wealthy from the Main Line in Philadelphia to show off their money. Avalon is a much friendlier place, neither one really has much of a “nite life”, but Atlantic City is just 30-45 minutes up the Parkway. Both have great beaches, but you’ll have to go to A.C. or inland for shops.
