How does a sliding puzzle work?

The goal of a sliding puzzle is to arrange the pieces in a particular pattern. That might mean putting together the elements of a picture, forming a shape, or creating an array of numbers or letters. Movement of the pieces is restricted so that you have to move one piece in order to shift another.

How to make a puzzle box?

The Basics. So what you basically need are wood,a saw and some sanding paper.

  • Tools and Materials. – Ash is rather lighter colored than oak,but is sometimes used in connection with it. It is exceedingly hard,heavy,and durable,but expensive.
  • Layers Into Depth. A box most likely has 6 sides,of wich if you’re using 1 locking sides you have 3 or 4 fixed sides and have 1
  • Keyways. What are keyways? keyways are like mazes,only if the right way is taken you’ll get out.
  • More Than 1 Locking Side. Since I’m new to puzzle boxes I only know a few techniques and 1 I’m sure of how it works.
